This is pretty standard stuff if you’re a startup founder and you hadn’t thought to write a job description to hire someone should you really receive funding? Mostly people struggle to hire because the market is hot and the job offer sucks. Big tech gets top candidates because they pay top rates. It is a ludicrous myth that people in existing positions are somehow great talents. Most jobs don’t need great talents they need someone whose good enough otherwise they will be ambitious and move on. Most startup founders are poor people managers and few very experienced candidates want to work 12 hour days for less than the top rates. Need a bit of a reality check here.
